Year 4 Hit the Street in the Heat

This half term the Ranelagh Curriculum takes a Geography centred approach, with all year groups learning about different places in the world, including our own backyard - the City of London! This week Year 4 braved the sun and heat to be geographers in their own right, exploring the streets of our local neighbourhood to see how the land is being used.

They read maps to find their way, took photographs of different types of buildings and explored how buildings are used. Their next fieldwork will take place in a few weeks when they travel through central London, comparing land use their to here. Look out for other interesting fieldwork from the rest of the school this half term as well...
