Ranelagh Rockets Launch

The smiles on the faces of the children who returned after playing their part in the London series of the Major League Baseball tournament  in June is something we will never forget . The children walking onto the pitch with the roar of the crowd is something which will live in their memory forever. The legacy is lasting and today marks the beginning of something incredibly special here at Ranelagh.

Today we launched the Ranelagh Rockets, a new baseball hub for the school and our community. Members of the community from Newham, the Mayor's Office, The Greater London Authority and Active Newham came to celebrate the launch of our baseball diamond. The children had the opportunity to participate and showcase their baseball skills in this momentous launch as it marks the beginning of our baseball journey from Ranelagh to the whole of London.

Mr Jon Rye, MLB London Series Legacy Manager, threw the first pitch , as he was the person who put Ranelagh’s name forward, he stated, ‘It was a very special morning .’
