Year 6 Explore the Vibrant Streets of Shoreditch!

Our Year 6 pupils enjoyed an unforgettable trip to Brick Lane and Shoreditch recently, stepping out of the classroom and straight into the colourful world of urban street art. Building on their recent school projects about the elusive artist Banksy, the children were left absolutely awestruck by the massive, stunning murals decorating the neighbourhood.
The highlight of the day was having the incredible Mr. Choudhury as our guide. As a lifelong resident of the area, he brought the streets to life with his deep knowledge of East London's rich artistic history, sharing the powerful, real-life stories behind the artwork.

It wasn’t just an art trip, though! The children also put on their geographical hats, conducting brilliant hands-on fieldwork to map and study how this bustling and diverse part of London has changed over time.
Our pupils came back buzzing with inspiration. Afeefah shared, “It was amazing to see so many different styles of art in real life — every corner had something exciting to discover!” Ziann added, “The trip was awesome because we learnt the stories behind the artwork and got to explore such a cool part of London.”
A huge thank you to Mr. Choudhury for sharing his neighbourhood's secrets with us, and well done to Year 6 for representing our school so brilliantly!
