Ranelagh Young Gardeners Club – Growing Together!

This term, the Ranelagh Gardening Club has been buzzing with energy as our young gardeners rolled up their sleeves and got to work transforming our outdoor space. The children have shown responsibility, teamwork, and a passion for nature while taking care of the school garden.
The club has been busy creating homemade compost, learning how to recycle natural materials to help enrich the soil. They have also planted a variety of vegetables, including garlic, radishes, carrots, and sweetcorn, as well as spring bulbs that we are excited to see bloom next term
Our gardeners have worked hard to keep the beds tidy, watering plants, clearing soil that had been scattered, and collecting fallen leaves to use in composting. Their dedication has helped keep our garden thriving through the changing seasons.
A special mention goes to Afeefah in Year 6, who has taken on a fantastic leadership role within the group. She has supported younger children, guided them with planting and garden care, and has been an invaluable help throughout the term. We are incredibly proud of her commitment and maturity.
The Ranelagh Gardening Club continues to be a wonderful space where children learn the importance of caring for the environment, growing their own food, and working as a community. We look forward to watching both the garden—and our young gardeners—continue to grow!
