This week was a celebration of our love of reading. There was a range of activities to encourage children to love reading and it culminated in all of us dressing up for World Book Day on Friday March 3rd.
Children need role models for reading and as such we would like to thank all the parents that were able to attend and read with their children. If you were unable to attend, don’t forget you can always do some reading at home. Children who love reading do better at school and are happier, healthier and more resilient.

On Friday March 3rd Ranelagh celebrated World Book Day in fantastic fashion! Children from across the school celebrated their love of reading and dressed up as their favourite book characters, from the Very Hungry Caterpillar to Willy Wonka to the Fantastic Mr. Fox! The children looked remarkable; well done Ranelagh!
A special mention goes to Elshadai, Viktorija, Ivana, Tazkia and Jessica who won our 'design a book cover' competition and each won a free book of their choosing!
